Mukzin's runway show opened at New York Fashion Week in February 6th 2020. After presenting fashion collections "The Theater of Mao'er" at Shanghai, "The Jade in the Shadow" at Paris Fashion Week, and "Daan" at London Fashion Week, Designer Kate Han of MUKZIN revealed the 2020AW collection in February.
For this collection, the designs and colors used were heavily inspired by ancient Chinese clothing. The designer incorporated details from the Ming and Qing Dynasty to "show the spirit of the sorceress from ancient China". As for the weaving technique, the designer uses "jacquard weave", which is a style of "figure weaving." It can be used to create elaborate designs and detailed images of objects such as flowers and birds. Another technique-Felt embroidery is used as well, which the felt gets along well with embroidery and can handle the most complex designs without any puckering.
